Paul Swindlehurst

In September 2023 I retired after nearly 30 years from  a successful teaching career. I taught Design and Technology at various levels throughout my career including Deputy Head of Year, Director of Technology Specialism and Curriculum Leader for Design and Performance which included the following subjects including Music, Art, Performing  Arts and Design and Technology. I have also been a subject tutor for the Initial Trainee Teacher programme. Since retiring I have also been engaged as an Educational Consultant for a school in Bradford.

Prior to my teaching career on leaving Trinity House School in Hull I joined the British Merchant Navy, a career I wanted to pursue for a very early age, employed by Cunard as an Engineer Cadet Officer.

Having risen through the ranks to 2nd Engineer Officer I left in 1992 to get married and to start a change of career in the teaching profession.

I still have a keen interest in all things naval and have followed the sad demise of the British Merchant Navy. I am also a member of Trinity House Old boys Association.
